MUG SHOTS is a tribute to the Lloyd Hamiltons, Charley Bowers', Lupino Lanes, and Monty Banks' of the silent and early sound eras. Forgotten by all but a few of the staunchest comedy buffs, we believe these talented comedians to be worthy of reappraisal. Though none reached the heights achieved by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd, each had moments of greatness. We'll also pay tribute to the lost comedy studios of yore, Educational, Bulls Eye, Fox/Sunshine and others.
These pages will be constantly expanding. It is our hope to ultimately include larger image galleries, fuller biographies, more reviews, complete filmographies and solutions to our vexing mysteries. If these pages picque visitors' curiosities and lead to wider distribution and discussion of the films and their creators, then our humble efforts will have come to fruition. COMEDY TONIGHT!
